1ST Person Perspective

I'm not sure if I should ask Eric out...He is so handsome. Should I ask him out? Arg!!! I don't know... He has a girlfriend that is away, but will it be a good idea to ask him out? Oh my goodness... His girlfriend is my best friend...I really don't know what to do! He is such a good looking guy though... HE IS SO HOT! I don't want to lose him... What if he rejects me! Ah!!! I'm so confused!!! Will his girlfriend be mad at me if I ask him out? What if she says, "your not my friend anymore loser", what should I do?!?!? Maybe what if I ask him out secretly, will she not notice it?


3RD Person Perspective

He wants to ask him out...Should he ask him out? OR should he not ask him out? Eric already has a girlfriend... Though the other guy thinks that Eric is so hot... What should the other guy do? Ah...It is SO CONFUSING...

Guess the Mood

Today was a beautiful day for me. It was my birthday. The weather was pleasant, with a sunny warm beam shining down, the kind of temperature where you feel free and joy able, and the wind breeze was so calm and cool that it felt as if you were flying. My friend's attitudes were also amazing. As they saw me, they greeted me by saying "HELLO DUDE". I thought they would forget about my birthday, but they didn't. They congratulated me by giving me presents. It was so AWESOME. One of my best days ever!!! I had the opportunity to smile a lot today.

What would you do if you win 259 million dollars in a lottery?
- If I am a good, generous person, I would save the money on my account. Another option is that I could donate most of the money to the people who needs in other countries or people in our country. However, if I really win this humongous amount of money, I would probably think of all the things I want. First of all, I would probably quit school because there is no need to go to this school. I would work my best on my interests because those are the most things that I enjoy most. Also, I would buy a good, big house. Basically, I would be doing a lot of things that I want to do.

Warm-Up

There was a person I met named Mrs. Mcdonald. She was a teacher who left me a great impression in my 1st grade year in America. She was a person who was very harsh even though I didn't even know how to speak English. This however, gave a great impact in my life. She made me do lots of work, which included doing writing and reading. She was very kind in a way as well, even though she was very harsh. The thing that made me remember her was her name. Her last name Mcdonald, was slightly different as the company, Mcdonalds. Also, one thing I could remember about her, is her scary, mad, and insane-looking mad expression!!! She was a scary teacher. Wow!!!

Revenge

What will the story of "The Utterly Perfect Murder" about?
- I think the story of "The Utterly Perfect Murder" will be about a killing or a murder through revenge. Or, I think it might also be a story about the feeling about the revenge of the main character on the other character who had done something very deceiving. I also think that this could be a detective novel with a crime scene.
Describe a time that you wanted revenge on someone.
- I especially had a feeling of revenge when THE PERSON provoked me in front of many people. THE PERSON made me embarrassed in front of many people. This was occurred in TCIS. This KID did also snickered me all the time when I first came to this school during 7th grade. Lots of classes I had with this KID, he provoked me, almost making me to explode. Eventually I didn't explode though. Right now, we are quite close friends. So, when I look back to the things the PERSON has done, I feel like if I want to REVENGE!!! And I want to provoke him BACK!!!

1. What are my current reading skills?

- My current reading skills can be scanning the text, skimming through the text, and detailed reading. Scanning is a skill which I and many people use to find particular words or phrases that they need to find. Skimming however, is quite different. It is a kind of skill which people use to preview the text's detail or background. Detailed reading is to extract information accurately so that you can understand it. People often use this when reading texts.

2. How can I improve and grow as a reader?

- A good way I think to improve or grow as a reader is to keep reading continuely. Just as you need to keep working out in sports to get better, you need to keep reading so that your mind can get used to reading in many different skills. Also, reading harder levels might allow you to improve your reading skills because you will learn harder levels of words, grammar, structure, etc.

3. What purpose can literature serve in my life?

- Literature can help me communicate my thoughts in many different ways other than just using your mouth, face expression, body language, etc. For some people like me who really don't like to take a speech in front of lots of people would have an easier moment communicating. Also, literature may allow us to gain new knowledge that others didn't know.

4. What resources can I find in the library that will help me in this course and other courses?

- Online resources, books, librarians, internet, and many more things can help us in this course and other courses. Not only using on source, but using a variety of resources might help you gain more information and different kinds of perspectives.
